Welcome!

Hi I'm Cassie! Thank you for visiting my collection of pages and blogs.  I hope you find at least one thing you enjoy here.  Come along with me on the adventures of a new life.  I spent most of my life on Long Island, NY with everyday being as busy and noisy as the last.  The town I last lived in had everything you could possibly want within walking distance of your house or apartment.  I even lived only 5 minutes walking distance from my job, couldn't complain about my commute unless the weather was awful.  Not that the living situation was perfect, the last couple of years there I spent sharing an apartment with my ex-husband.  NY is as expensive as they say, believe me.
Almost a year ago I moved in with my boyfriend Jason in Tennessee.  Culture shock!!!  By no means did I live in the city, but my town was busy enough and populated enough to be hopping all the time.  I can also blame too many bars for the noise level at all hours, and my poor choice in location living above a business in the middle of it all.  Now I live more in the country, thankfully not too far from suburbia and the nearest city.
There are of course pros and cons to both, I try not to dwell on the cons.  Though being that I never learned how to drive in NY, there is one con to living in the country I can't ignore.  Where are the buses, the passenger trains, anything that resembles public transportation?  The only thing I can walk to is the nearest field of cows.  Though I do like seeing the cows down the street.  But I do not miss the noise, ah to sleep again!  Gardening, sitting on a porch or a deck, having multitudes of wild creatures roam through your backyard are all bonuses I either never had or haven't had in years.
One of my other big life changes is going from working full time at the same business for 12 years to being domestic.  Wow what a change!  You would think I would be used to it already, but with so much to take in and get used to I am just starting to figure it all out.  Its a full time job of its own, which I never doubted, but have only started to get the discipline to do the way I want.  The guys tease me that I am turning into Martha Stewart or Suzy Homemaker.  I take it as a good sign....  I hope....
